Trusted Agent Editorial Team
Our content is produced and maintained by the Trusted Agent Editorial Team, with a single goal: help you understand your options and make a confident, well-informed decision.
What we cover
We write about life insurance, final expense, term and permanent coverage, indexed universal life, participating whole life, annuities and retirement rollovers, and business-owner and employee-benefit strategies. We lead with education — the concepts, tradeoffs, and questions that matter — and connect readers with appropriately licensed professionals when they want personalized help.
How we source
For consequential claims we prefer primary sources: statutes and regulators, the IRS, the Department of Labor, the SEC/FINRA where applicable, the Census Bureau and BLS, and official insurer and rating-agency materials. We cite those sources near the claims they support, note the as-of date on figures that change, and distinguish guaranteed values from illustrated or non-guaranteed ones.
How we review
Complex topics — indexed universal life, participating whole life, annuities, rollovers, tax questions, and state-specific rules — are flagged for licensed (and, where appropriate, legal or tax) review before publication. We publish and update dates on every article, and we correct errors promptly. See our editorial policy and corrections pages.
Trusted Agent is a verification standard for life insurance agents. It is not an insurer and does not sell insurance. Content is general education, not individualized insurance, tax, legal, or investment advice. Product features, availability, rates, and suitability vary by carrier and state. Guarantees depend on the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurer.
